Information Discovery Services is looking for a .net Developer. This position is responsible for utilizing appropriate methodologies to analyze, develop, and test system solutions in response to business requirements; understanding user stories; identifying appropriate designs; coding to the design specifications; completing appropriate unit testing to ensure a quality solution delivery. This position will collaborate with internal and external customers to define requirements, implement business logic, and refine applications, as well as provide support and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designs, codes, tests and maintains software applications written in Microsoft .NET languages and in React front-end development framework.
  • Performs full-stack or end-to-end development of the software application
  • Uses industry recognized design patterns and methodologies to write reliable and stable .NET code.
  • Works closely with business analysts, in order to understand the end user needs, before coding the software. Provides technical direction in design, development, deployment, systems integration, and software support including client engagement from definition phase through implementation to meet business requirements
  • Documents and stores code analysis and coding scripts for future upgrades and versions.
  • Reviews and develops improvements to system requirements and business processes codes, tests, debugs and implements software solutions and provide ongoing technical support
  • Proactively identifies and manages technical risks of the system under development
  • Develops integration between various systems and create various technical design options dependent on priorities and cost/benefit expectations
  • Maintains level of urgency towards timelines and results.
  • Supports and follows all documented IT processes and standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-10 years relevant web development experience.
  • Experience with basic web programming languages.
  • Experience with .NET and React.
  • Experience with federal contracting preferred.
  • Current or previous security clearance or adjudication preferred.
  • Knowledge of web development principals, techniques, languages, and standard programming styles and convention.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with testing techniques (e.g. unit and system).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and partner with team members, direct leadership, and some business partners to understand user stories and identify application and system impacts.

  • Compensation $70,000-$80,000
